THANKSGIVING 2010

I can't get this song out of my mind...

GIVE THANKS
WITH A GRATEFUL HEART
GIVE THANKS
TO THE HOLY ONE
GIVE THANKS
FOR HE'S GIVEN
JESUS CHRIST, HIS SON

AND NOW LET THE WEAK SAY
I AM STRONG
LET THE POOR SAY
I AM RICH
BECAUSE OF WHAT
THE LORD HAS DONE
FOR US

Unfortunately, we live in a world of "I want more."  Every little bit, I have to remind myself of how rich I truly am and be grateful.  How can you not be thankful with little munchkins running around everywhere!

Little Miss @ Preschool Thanksgiving Feast

***Check out how her feathers are on the side of her head...so cute!
They were going everywhere...such an original and totally walks to the beat of a different drum!

Thanksgiving Day

***Believe it or not...this is the only photo I took on Thanksgiving...arg!
Hate it when I am having so much fun that I don't take any pictures :)

BIRD IN A CAGE

I read this amazing poem in college about a woman that was full of life.  She married a man that loved her just for that, but over time he began to squash her personality.  The poem compared this woman to a bird being caged up and not free to be herself.

I am super blessed to be married to a man that LOVES me for ME!  Naturally, I want that for those I love!

Hope and pray that this will be the only time that my little birdies are caged up...I want them to be free little birdies.

What Just Doesn't MIX?

My parents came for Thanksgiving.  Little Miss was obsessed with sleeping down in the basement with her Poppy.  As you know grandparents are much more relaxed about bedtime.  Not only did Little Miss get to watch TV while going to sleep, but she also got to play with CARS...

ON HER HEAD...
AROUND MIDNIGHT...
THAT IS RIGHT...
CARS AND HAIR JUST DON'T MIX!

Fun Things You Can Do With A MAC...

AND your Family!!

Did you notice a little certain someone that is in most of the photos?
Little Man totally digs the Photo Booth.

Arrival of a new Little Miss

I CANNOT leave out our newest Little Miss.  I am still working on a blog name for her.  Wish I could hit the LOVE button every time I see her!  She melts my heart.  You will be seeing a lot of her because she is my very first niece.

SPORTS

Little Man is still involved in basketball, but also loves football and soccer too.  He also got to be a "ball boy" for the our local high school.  He loved doing this and the older boys are really great with him.  I borrowed this photo from a nearby photography.  Doesn't he look so grown up?

Guess what being a ball boy for the football team means?
Our Little Man wants to play too, but his momma just isn't sure about that!

Halloween 2010

As usual, I am totally playing catch up.  Sometimes I feel like I am so far behind that I wonder what is the point of this blog.  I have also had a bit of writer's block as of late.  Just don't feel I have the creativity of others or the time to make everything look the way I want.  Then my kids do something adorable or I look at pictures of my kids and think that I have to keep a record of all the cuteness taking place in our home.  I figure my family that is not on Facebook would like to see too!

Halloween 2010

This year, Little Man was Kevin Durant and Little Miss was the BLING Candy Fairy.  I found Little Man's jersey in Oklahoma...they are pretty to come by in that state.  Wonder why?  We love Mr. Durant in our house...seems like a good guy!  Our fairy's little shirt was put together by a friend in Oklahoma and I made the tutu.  She carried a little "bling" purse with RING POPS.  She got to give them to her friends.

I LOVE the shot of the back of the kids...so fun!  The shot of Little Miss dancing and Little Man pretend shooting is a window into our daily life.  All BOY and all GIRL!

Our nephews and the Baldridge family went trick or treating with us.  Our neighborhood was CrAzY!  I promise that people came by BUS loads.  I think Brian counting like 300 kids that stopped by our house.  AHHHH!!!

The Baldridge family had a Halloween party after trick or treating.  It was a ton of fun!  We got to see our old neighbors...Miss K and Mr. A.  I love these kids like they are my own.  Mr. A was an old man and really played up to the camera...I totally didn't even know he was doing it.  FUNNY!

How do I LOG in?

It has been a while...so long that I couldn't remember which email I used to set up this account.  Say what?
What I can remember is the blast that Little Man and I had our double date with our friends.  Our boys are growing up so fast!  Check them out a few years back and now...they keep growing up so fast.

ForeSHOEdowing...

This picture was taken on Little Man's first day of school.  Why of the shoes?  Well, he has been asking for these AirMax shoes for a couple of years.  He watches the style of men he loves...friend of the family (Michael A.), my brother, and one of Brian's former basketball players.  2 of the 3 own shoes very similar.  Hence the obsession.  We finally agreed when the grandparents agreed to chip in some money.
Needless to say, he was super proud to wear the shoes on the first day of school. He wanted a picture of just his shoes.  My friends, this was foreSHOEdowing (foreshadowing) at its best.
Rewind just 15 minutes before this picture.
Little Man yells at me that he can't get his shoe on.  So, I try to help and am having a hard time forcing his foot into the shoe.  I check the other shoe size to be sure I got the right size and it was correct.  I continue to work to squeeze his foot into his new kicks.  We agree that they just needed to be broken in.  He is getting frustrated because the shoes fit in the store and is worried that he wouldn't be able to wear them for the first day of school.  Quickly, I tell him that he just needed to break the shoes in and he can wear the shoes without socks (gross, I know).  When we picked him up from school, he complained that one foot had been hurting him all day long.  Brian took both shoes off only to find that one was a size 1 and the other 12.  Poor guy wore one shoe that was 2 sizes too small all day long because his mom couldn't figure the issue out and he so desperately wanted to sport his new kicks!
After being completely ticked with myself and the lady at Foot Locker, we finally began to laugh!  Brian took the shoes back and issued an informal complaint.
Never a dull moment...to say the least!

FOUND IT, NOW USE IT!

I have been a total slacker on this blog as of late.  However, this doesn't mean that I have been slacking at home.  Well, I am always a slacker when it comes to cleaning because I can't keep up with constant ideas/brainstorm screaming my name.  I actually wanted to be at Lee University's Homecoming or a retreat with my church, but I am a make lemonade out of lemons kinda gal!  What lemonade am I making this weekend?  Planning for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and everything in between.  I am searching Christmas PJs for the family, planning our annual Christmas brunch, rummaging through old magazines, kissing the babies, eating donuts (had to slide that in),  and ATTEMPTING to get our basement cleaned up!  While rummaging through old magazines, I came across something that you guys (all of 3 that may still read this) might like to use.  There is an artist in Cincinnati that is often featured in Family Fun Magazine.  She has a really great lunch survey and a new thankful survey.  Check them out!  Love, love it!

Since I mentioned the lunch survey, I should mention that I have become crazy mom when it comes to packing the kids' lunches.  My Dad (you read that correctly) packed the most amazing lunches for me as a school gal.  He would write notes, use a sandwich puncher that said "Have a nice Day," and made me egg sandwiches any day I wanted.  I can proudly say that I only bought school lunch one time as a child.  That one day confirmed packed lunches weren't for me!  Last week, I had a blast with the Fall/Halloween theme.  My Little Mr. and Miss seem to love finding out what I have packed because they are quick to share with their grandparents when I drop them off!  I keep forgetting to take some pics!
I have found some really creative blogs that have sparked some serious creativity.  Check out these websites:

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL 2010

Little Mr. is officially in 1st grade and Little Miss is in Preschool!  They both love going to school and taking a packed lunch.  We are now settling into a routine of sorts.  I am not gonna get too used to it because basketball season starts soon.
