Getting Crazy...crazier than normal!

So I did it...stepped outside of my box.
When everyone was on the Myspace kick, I wasn't even the least bit curious in starting one myself. Did I enjoy gathering information from accounts already set up, well yes! Every girl loves to keep up with the happenings of her family and friends. After finding out the privacy policies of Facebook, I ventured out and started an account. My brother, Cam, and cousin, Allen, were shocked to say the least. I found that I really loved the chance to connect with friends and family. This gave me the confidence to start a blog! YIKES! People that know me personally know that I have a ton of ideas going on in my head, but often lack the confidence to throw myself out where people can see the madness. Crazy thing is that I have been wanting to set up a blog for over a year now. I like to consider myself somewhat creative and needed a place to test some of that creativity. Who knows where this will even lead. At this point, I have no other direction than to put myself out in this blog world where others can see my love for Christ, my husband, kids, family, and friends. If just one person feels loved, inspired, touched, or connected to me then I guess this little project will have been worth it! Maybe I will meet some new friends along the way. Hope you will enjoy this little journey through the stripes, dots, and what nots of life!

Whole Lot of Nothing

You may remember this post from last year where I showcased this mess...

Over the summer, I can honestly say that I really didn't do anything other than hang out with the fam.  Typically, I try to perfect some method of organization around the house.
My basement is really needing some TLC.  We are "in the process" of transitioning our office from upstairs to the basement.  I am acting like we are working on it, but we aren't.  My craft area is a complete danger zone.  My ribbon is strewn about like streamers and I have scrapbook paper hanging from the rafters.  I don't even want to tell you about the toys.  We are "in the process" of a toy purge and it ain't purty!  Again, I am acting like we are working on it.  We are not...I am "in the process" of thinking about getting it put back together by ignoring it completely.  In order to make myself feel better, I will focus on a project that I finished last school year.  Now, I have to get busy with more structured activities.

Projects Here, There, AND Everywhere!

When we were driving home from Oklahoma, Brian asked me what my plans were for the rest of the summer. I handed him a large, pink Post-it with about 20 things that I would like to get done. The look on his face was one of fear and concern because he knows those projects include help and money!

In the process of completing a mini-project on the list (repairing a frame that was hit with a basketball :), Peanut ran off with my list. I am thinking she loved that it was pink and sticky. I tried to get it and demanded she return it, but was stuck with the hot glue gun which didn't help the cause. I have yet to find it. This creates a bit of panic for me because I am a list maker...love the feeling of marking something off! I shouldn't fear because my projects are screaming my name by their very presence...

Trying to create an area to store my educational games/activities for the kids!
Stay tuned for before and after photos!
Some other projects include:
*organize and order pictures
*create digital scrapbooks
*hang blinds
*garage sale
*have Southern Living Party (decided on Lemonade theme)
*get deck refinished
*vinyl lettering for Isaiah's bedroom
*Ice Cream Party
*little odds and ends that are too boring to mention
***MOST IMPORTANT...playing with the kids and Brian!
