May Flowered Lots of Endless Fun

Little Man and Little Miss E scored Student of the Month in May.  We celebrated at Red Robin!  Yummo!

Little Man ending his gymnastic classes.  He ALMOST has his backhand spring.

Little Miss Priss got her first official manicure for our Mommy/Daughter date!

Take me out to the ballgame!  Starting in May continuing to now we have been on the baseball field a good majority of the week!  Little Miss poses with 2 of her favorite high school girlies on our baseball opening day!  We just love them!

Little Miss's first year playing tee ball.  I got to be her coach.  So mad because I don't have a pic of her and I together in our shirts!

Little Man plays 2nd base.  What a successful year!  They won the end of the year championship and he is playing in the all-stars!

Mother's Day!  They look thrilled to take a pic with me, huh?
Brian and the kids cooked me breakfast...told you that waffle maker was going to be in serious use!  Things to check out in this photo...how cute are Little Miss's PJ...she picked them out herself.  Things NOT to look at...our darn table/chairs and my bed mug/hair glaring at you!

I got to go with Miss Priss to on her field trip to a local farm.

Did I mention that she and her little friend worked together to make  at least 2 outs the whole year?  Outs in this league is unusual!  Not bragging at all!

Little Man's artwork was featured at the district's art fair.

As a kid, I used to LOVE to do Spin Art.  This brought back great memories of my own childhood at Whitman Elementary in Mesa, Arizona.

Daddy was actually in a panic because he was worried we would be late for his game.  Little Man seems relaxed, right?

Riding our bike home for the last day of school!  His buddy, Little Miss E, is right there with him!  I seriously love that girl like she is my own!

Getting ready to perform at her dance recital.  No the song was not "Genie in a Bottle" by Christina Aguilera.  :)  Check out Jill's muscle in the background...that girl knows how to work out!

Getting ready to do their thing!

Cutest penguins you will ever see!

Friends!  Good friends!

Strike a Pose!

Poppy and Nonny made the trip to see baseball games and dance recitals!

Brian's parents were there to support too!

April Showers Bring Flowers in JULY!

While March was our busiest month, April proved to be just as busy with just as many celebrations!  We went to Oklahoma to celebrate my sister's and our two kiddles' birthdays.  We love our time there.  Lots of eating and laughing.

Our Little Man had his 7th birthday...Oh my goodness!  I cannot believe that he once was my little baby!    This year, he wanted to do something different than a party by momma.  Kind of broke my heart,  but also was a bit of a relief because I didn't know if I would be able to pull off another party just 2 weeks from the last.  Who am I kidding?  I already had his planned since January!  I am hoping I can use it next  year because it is a good one!  Perfect for him!

Did I mention that my baby Daddy had his birthday in March?  We got him a waffle maker because he is so obsessed with waffles at various hotel continental breakfasts!  That was a mouth full!  Literally!  He made his first batch for us in April!  A great treat and tradition that the kids will love!

Easter!  We went to church and then out for Brunch.  Had some fun taking photos with the family!  It was great having Jill here with us!  I miss that girl so much!  She was my live in friend!

Little Man's teeth were falling out right and left!  He lost a tooth at school and Brian had to pull one.  This last one was pretty awful to get out.  Apparently, the skin had grown back into the center of the tooth.  Twist not once, but three or five times!  Ugh!  Gross!

Winds of March Breezing Their Way into July

March brought lots of excitement!  My cousin, Jill, from Colorado came to live with us for a few months.  Her momma dropped her off.  My momma decided to come in for the drop off too!  That weekend was certainly a world wind of fun because Swish had its 2nd annual H.O.R.S.E tournament.  It was a huge success!  We even had a celebrity bracket this year that included the kicker from the Bengals! How cool is that?

Our Little Miss celebrated her 4th birthday with a Soda Pop Party.  As usual, there was so much that didn't get done.  I think it still turned out pretty adorable.  Not as cute as our little miracle.  When we were looking back through the pictures, she said that is so cute...I want to do a party again.  That is what makes it all worth it.

Love in February Still works in July, Right?

Not only did I make the family pose for the Love Booth for our VDay photo cards, but we also celebrated with heart shape pizzas and love potion.  Nothing fancy, but the kids seemed to enjoy it.

This last photo depicts a bit of a nightmare for me that occasionally will still rear its ugly head.  Brian expressed his love on hundreds of strips of paper that said I love you.  He tossed them about my car.  Strips stuck to my clothes, shoes, and blow out when we got out of the car.  Every so often I will find another strip hiding!  They were virtually impossible to get out of the car.  However, the kids thought it was the greatest thing...which totally made it okay with me.  :)

4 MONTHS...Holy Cow!

Yup...it has been 4 months...holy smoke-o-lies!  I always feel like I have to offer excuses as to why I am so far behind.  Which I am sure no one cares!  :)  As I lay in bed trying to sleep at 4 am this morning, I tried to figure out what my problem has been.  Am I uninspired?  Busy?  Lazy?  Are there too many things to keep up with?  Or do I feel so far behind on this bloggy thing that I push it to the side?  Could it be that I am trying not to be obsessed with technology?  Maybe just maybe it is because I often feel inadequate when I look at all of the amazing things other mommas are doing.  What is that saying?  Jake of all trades, master of nothing.  I know that more than likely it is a combination of several things.  Trying not to be down, I racked my brain to figure out the why.  I am always trying to learn things about myself by being objective.  It is something my parents tried to instill in us and my Daddy may just be an objective expert even to this day.  I hope that my kids can learn this trait from me.  I think I become obsessed with certain things and then slack off in other areas.  For example, sometimes I can't stop thinking about planning parties then exercising then organizing then blogging and so on.  It is like a vicious cycle.  I keep telling myself that I have to maintain balance and stay motivated.  You know how you just don't feel like you are doing a good job in one area and so you turn to that area and go overboard trying compensate for your short comings?  I remembered and revisited a friend's blog post from a while back about having rhythm not balance.  She had some good points!  I know that I am leaning on the Lord more than ever to help me maintain and embrace all that he has blessed me with...tired of the devil trying to make me feel like I am not good enough in various areas of my life especially about being a good momma.  In an attempt, I am making it a goal to keep up with this blog at least once a week.  It may not be super fancy or "inspired", but it will be about our week.  Enough about my drama...what is your drama?

Pinterest

Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness!
I finally have found a way to organize all of my favs that I find while surfing from site to site.  It is called Pinterest.  You "pin" photos to "boards."  So, let's say you find a party idea and you don't want to forget it. You would "pin" that photo to your Party "board".  You have to check it out...definitely one of my new obsessions.  I LOVE IT!  It is by invite only, so if you are interested...shoot me an email (that is if I still have followers).
Promise you are going to have so much fun!
